About Fishing

Fishing is a unique feature in Sunshine Island that allows you to sell fish for Sea Silver at the Fish Market. This in turn can be used to buy Mystery Boxes and other things in the Fishing Shop or use it for upgrades in the Boat Yard.

How to fish[]

To activate boat mode, locate the fishing boat, and click on it.

You can then move the boat around by either swipe in the direction you want it to move, or just tap at a point where you want the boat to move to.

You will see some shadows of fish in the water, and when you have the boat where you want it to be, you click the boat to activate fishing mode. You will see a circle around the boat that indicates how far you can throw the line. You throw the line by clicking on the spot you want the lure to land. Make sure you don't throw it too close to the fish, because then it will be scared off and disappear. Wait till the fish swims over to your lure, and when the float sinks and turn white, tap the screen repeatedly to wind in the fish.

When you catch a fish, it will be stored in your Cooler Bag. This is located at the bottom right of the screen when you are in fishing mode.

Where to sell fish[]

When your cooler box is full, you can sell your fish at the Fish Market. Drive your fishing boat to the Fish Market, and click on it to enter.

Alternatively, you can release fish into the sea from the cooler box, but if you do this, you will not get anything for it, and you will not get back the lure you used to catch it.

You have initially 5 regular lures. When you use them, you will eventually get new ones after some time. It takes 30 minutes to get one new lure after you used it. The max capacity of regular lures can be increased by doing upgrade in the Boat Yard.

Fine lures are available as rewards from Daily Quests (the pirate island). At the bottom in the quest you see a fishing quest, where the reward is 2 fine lures. Sometimes there are also offers in the shop where you can buy fine lures for money. It is no limit on how many fine lures you can have.

To switch between using fine lures or regular lures, there is a button at lower right, next to the cooler with your fish. When you click on this, you can select which type of lure you want to use.
